Wine smoothie

MANGO WINE SMOOTHIE

After a wonderful bike ride in the country you need to rehydrate yourself. Water is just plain boring. Add some class into your body. This is a light and refreshing beverage. Plus I added some REAL fruit juice in there.

MANGO WINE SMOOTHIE

1 Orange, Pineapple, Apple frozen concentrate
1 Orange
Mango Wine
1 Tray of ice

I placed one tray of ice in a blender. That's right I don't even have an automatic ice maker in the fridge, first world problems. Then I sliced an orange for garnish. I squeezed the rest of the orange into the blender. I added the frozen concentrate. Then 1/2 of the concentrate container of water into the blender. Then 1 frozen juice container of mango wine. Blend all the goodness together and enjoy. Pour into a wine glass and garnish with an orange slice. Now to cook some dinner or play some Mario Cart. Mario Cart it is!!!

Firefighter cake

Firefighter Cake

A cake fit for a firefighter. What more could a firefighter want than a cake with their number on it covered in sprinkles??? Pretty much everything.

I started out with two 6 inch rounds that were made out of chocolate. I cut of the top so that they were even, then I just frosted it with some delightful chocolate frosting! Please note that a turn table for frosting cake is a solid investment.

Then I added some white chocolate sixlets to the bottom of the cake, just to dress it up a little. The picture is not very good, sorry. Note to self- get a better camera, learn how to use the camera, take better pictures for blog. After that I just added the numbers and a fire engine Christmas ornament to the top. Then while spinning the turn table ( no techno music involved) shook some sprinkles out. My kitchen is a mess, but so worth it.

I'm just going to say it.. How cute is this? Makes my heart skip a beat, literally I just threw a PVC. Note to self- Go to cardiologist. Well here's to all firefighters ( career or volunteer) THANK YOU!!  Meow get out there save lives and in between calls eat some cake!

4TH OF JULY TREATS

4th of July Yummies

Patriotic chocolate fruit snacks.. Its not to good to be true.

Ingredients
Chocolate cups
White chocolate
raspberries
blueberries

Just start with melting some white chocolate. It doesn't take long in the microwave to melt it.

After I melted the white chocolate I poured it into the plastic condiment bottle. I let it cool down just a little bit, then I started to draw the stars on some waxed paper.

After I drew all the stars I sprinkled with edible glitter. Glitter makes people better.

After your glitter stars have set up. Grab the chocolate cups. Add some raspberries and blueberries. Then just add a white glittery star on top. A red, white and blue snack, perfect for a 4th of July Treat.

Adult cheesecake bites

 BOOZY CHEESECAKE BITES

I love me some cheesecake and I love me some booze. Why not combine the two together??

First off let me just say that this originally was a huge fail. I mean like all of them got thrown away.  The problem, too much booze... way too much. The Jello calls for 1 1/2 cups of milk. I did 1/2 cup vodka and 1/2 cup Rum Chata. My first attempt in one word, GROSS!

Also in the picture where you see all of the ingredients needed, you may have noticed graham crackers. I've never claimed to be smart. So in the first batch I made a delicious graham cracker crust, pressed it into the cupcake molds. Then I was reading the side of the box. I'm thinking that there is no way you can make a crust out of 2 tbsp. of sugar and 5 tbsp. of butter and get that golden crust pictured above. Then I opened the box and saw that I am an idiot. Not often does that thought come straight from a box.

Second attempt I used the crust mix that comes in the box, it really doesn't taste bad. I got these all put together and chilling in the fridge. Perhaps I shall bring some to my co-workers. This is the recipe that doesn't taste like cough syrup.

Adult Cheesecake Bites

1 Jello cheesecake mix
1 cup milk
1/4 cup Cake Vodka
1/4 cup Rum Chata

Prepare your crust according to the instructions on the side of the box  :) Pat down into cupcake liners. Combine all other ingredients together and mix. Pour into crust cups. Chill for at least one hour. Serve with fruit sauce if you're feeling fancy.

Perhaps to make yourself feel a little better about drinking/eating in the middle of the day, maybe serve with a side of tea. Enjoy!

please drink/eat responsibly

30th Birthday Cake

Celebrate turning the dreaded 30 like a boss. I made this cake for my husband. Chocolate cake with a chocolate buttercream. Then decorated with shot glasses, booze and cigars. You know this cake will be a win for sure, even if it tastes awful. I stacked 2 eight inch rounds, that's the perfect height so the booze doesn't tower over the cake. I think this also would make a great apology cake. You messed up? Fix it with a bribe, it works all the time.

For my 30th I think instead of the cigars I would like sugar cookies. Shot glass, booze and sugar cookies. That seems like the perfect mix. Well only a couple more years. Good thing I can come back and reference this blog for this awesome idea, as I'm sure I forget by then. Meow what to do.
